She has another passion.

After being a passenger for about a year and having a sister-in-law that got the fever, Rob has decided that she wants to learn to solo.  Rob took to it very quickly.  We were able to pick up a 1982 Suzuki GS450L pretty cheaply on Ebay from a gentlemen across the river in Wisconsin.  We brought it home on a Saturday and I had the entire family out practicing the next day.  Within days Rob had her permit and we were out running the roads in our neighborhood.  We had to do a little repair work right away to dress it up a bit.  We painted it red, added a windshield and new mirrors.  There are still a few issues that will require a more experienced hand.  The biggest one is the fact that the battery is not charging.  We found this out when the battery went dead and so did the bike.  Rob was able to push it (uphill) to a friends house where I briefly charged the battery for the quick run home.

It wasn't too long after that that we decided a newer model was in order as the fever really took.  So on June 16th she purchased her first new motorcycle.

A 2003 Honda Shadow 600.  We had a couple of things on order to make her ride more enjoyable like a windshield, passenger backrest and luggage rack.

Overall, she is doing great!  With more road time she can only improve.  We are planning a few medium length rides to see how much saddle time her butt can take.
